Jeff Lewis  > Travel > Barbados
I recently spent a few days in Barbados to get in some beach time and get away from the Canadian Winter for a few days. While there I took the opportunity to photograph some local street scenes and a few sunsets.

Jeff Lewis > I was lucky enough to experience a few really nice sunsets on my trip. This one had a wide dynamic range so I used my HDR technique to capture what I saw with my eyes.
Jeff Lewis > No HDR here. This image was underexposed and I used a Split Neutral Density filter to capture all the light in the scene. Underexposing helped the color really pop and show the true life in this image.

Jeff Lewis > Typical afternoon scene looking out into the ocean.
Jeff Lewis > I tried a few long exposures during the day to capture the movement of the waves.
Jeff Lewis > Had to watch my feet on this one!!
Jeff Lewis > An afternoon rainstorm passed over us and continued on into the ocean.
Jeff Lewis > No swimming today I guess. I used HDR here to make a real grunge look, which seemed to go well with the dirt in and around the pool.
